INFORMATION FOR CAPTAINS

Runners' Bags:
The Runners' bags will be provided on Friday 18th May at 17:45h. They will contains the BIB numbers for your team, the full event programme, a detailed map of the running track and some goodies.

The children's race:
We will have our usual children races. One for the very young kids (from whatever age mothers consider :) up to 8) which will consist on a small fun segment of a lap and a kids' race (ages from 8 to 12) which will consist on one lap. The two events will follow each other and will start at 18:00h

Children's activities:
There will be activities for children of all ages during the FunRun

The race:
The race will start at 18:30h and will last for 60 minutes plus one lap.

- The race has an emphasis on the social, rather than the competitive aspect.
- One lap is about 600m and might include some funny and traditional events of school sports days.
- It is a relay race, only one person per team should run at any time,
- The baton (témoin) has to be carried at all times during the race and should be clearly shown to the lap-counters in the handover zone.
- The handover between the runners occurs in the handover zone. The details of the handover will be explained and demonstrated before the start of the race.
- The winning team will be the one with the most laps.

Some Tips:
- Warm up a bit before the race in order to avoid strains, injuries, etc.
- Please be at the handover zone 30 minutes before start, i.e. 18:00h for the birefing
- Although the FunRun is a race, the emphasis should be on the enjoyment. So do not overdo it!
